Australian Synchrotron Technical Tour

IECON 2011 is pleased to offer delegates an opportunity to visit the Australian Synchrotron on 8 November 2011.  The Australian Synchrotron is a source of highly intense light ranging from infrared to hard x-rays used for a wide variety of research purposes.

Officially opened in July 2007, the Australian Synchrotron is one of fewer than 40 similar facilities around the world. It is the largest stand-alone piece of scientific infrastructure in the southern hemisphere.

On 8 November 2011, three visits (approximately 45 minutes each) have been scheduled to the Australian Synchrotron - a limited number of 25 participants for each visit.  The tour will depart from the Crown Conference Centre at the following times:

9.00am

11.00am

1.00pm

Bookings can be made at the registration desk on 7 November 2011.  To avoid disappointment, you may wish to email iecon2011@rmit.edu.au. to confirm your seat on the bus.  Please use TECHNICAL TOURS in the subject title and provide your name and preferred time.  An email confirmation of your reservation will be sent to you.
