CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSIONS

Submission is closed

Special Sessions consist of a group of papers having a common, unified theme. These types of sessions are excellent opportunities to give the audience depth and breadth of exposure to a particular issue, in a way not possible through a single paper. Furthermore, a Special Session presents many viewpoints on a topic area, in a way not possible through a typical tutorial.

Persons wishing to organize a Special Session should submit a proposal (download template in Word format) in PDF format to all Special Session Co-Chairs.

Proposals should include:

  • Title of the Special Session; and
  • A concise description of the subject area.

This description will be posted on the conference website in an area dedicated to Special Sessions, and serve as the Call for Special Session.

The editorial review team will review the submitted manuscripts. Organizers of accepted proposals will be notified within two weeks of submitting proposals. At this time, they should contact their editorial review team, and prospective authors.

The online submission system will be open for Special Session papers until 30 May 2011. Authors of Special Session submissions will be notified of acceptance at the same time as regular paper authors (1 July 2011).

Rejected Special Session papers will not be considered for regular sessions. The decision of the Technical Program Committee is final. One complimentary, regular conference registration will be offered for each Special Session organized.
